CoruLinna is the jewelry brand by Valda Tolonen, a Latvian polymer clay artist living in Finland. The brand name comes from Finnish words "koru" (jewel) and "linna" (castle).
“I’ve been doing polymer clay since February 2022. That’s when I bought my first polymer clay online course — it was a gift from me to me on my daughter’s first birthday.
From trying and testing different styles and techniques and loads and loads of colour combinations, I’ve come to conclusion that sophisticated, dark, moody, edgy aesthetic with a touch of glamour is my favourite. I’m a 90’s teenager and 90’s grunge and alternative scene has been one of the main influences in my life.
I still love colour and I continue to try out new techniques as it’s a never-ending journey of constant learning. When it comes to style, I’m very eclectic, so in my jewelery you will see both neutral tones with a splash of colour or shine, and whimsical colour combinations. But my main interest in polymer is the many possibilities of material texture and patterns. My style is constantly evolving, whether I will settle on one style or not, the future will tell.”
